Stainless steels

Tool steels
Tool steels are characterized by high wear resistance, very good mechanical properties, low thermal expansion as well as high hardness and toughness. As a material for turning and milling, tool steel is used for a wide variety of applications in toolmaking (e.g. cutting edges, punches, inserts, molds, etc.). After turning and milling, tool steel components are often subjected to heat treatment.

Cast iron
