With Spanflug Make CNC manufacturing companies have the option of calculating quotation prices for turning and milling parts fully automatically on the basis of a CAD model. This means that the otherwise time-consuming process of calculating prices for CNC parts can be completed in just a few mouse clicks, without the need for manual input or prior technical knowledge. Spanflug Technologies, a Munich-based platform operator specializing in CNC manufacturing, will present this cloud-based solution for quotation calculation for CNC manufacturing companies for the first time at EMO 2019 (September 16-21).
Quotation calculations for CNC parts is time-consuming and requires qualified and experienced specialist personnel. Previously available calculation tools on the market are often complex to configure, require a lot of manual input or the provision of a sufficiently large database. The Spanflug pricing algorithm was developed for the Spanflug online shop and optimized on the basis of tens of thousands of turning and milling parts. It currently offers the largest part coverage available on the market (about 90 %) and enables automatic price calculations for a wide range of technical specifications. Spanflug Make can be used immediately without configuration effort or data set. If required, settings, for example for materials, machine tools and post-treatments, can be individually adapted.
Spanflug Make is based on the proven pricing algorithm that the Munich-based startup has been using since November 2018 for its online platform for the procurement of CNC turning and milling parts. As in the online shop, all manufacturing-relevant features are automatically evaluated from a CAD model - and optionally from a technical drawing. In addition, manufacturing companies can view and customize a detailed breakdown of calculated costs for materials, setup, programming, manufacturing and shipping. The user can then either transfer the calculated prices to an ERP system via interface or manually transfer them to a quotation.

Spanflug Make is a cloud-based software-as-service solution that users can book as a subscription. Individual solutions are available on request. This year, Spanflug will be represented for the first time in the Young Tech Enterprises Area in Hall 9, Stand A30 at EMO.
