Our component of the month March is a valve housing made of stainless steel. It is used for a mixing valve in the beverage industry and can be used for any beverage in which dry substances or liquids are combined with a carrier liquid. A particular challenge was the high surface quality of the inner surfaces. This is necessary so that the housings can be cleaned fully automatically.
Furthermore, 80 % machining volumes with undercuts and close-tolerance shoulders inside the 1.4404 component are always a special task.
