1.4301 is the most commonly used stainless steel for turning and milling and offers a good balance of all relevant material properties.

Due to its composition, 1.4305 is particularly suitable for machining and is very widely used, but it has lower corrosion resistance than 1.4301 and is not weldable.

1.4404 has very high corrosion resistance to acids and chlorine-containing media. It has very good weldability and is frequently used in the chemical industry.

1.4571 is comparable to 1.4404 in terms of corrosion resistance and mechanical properties, But it has slightly better high-temperature strength and is more difficult to machine.

1.4021 is a hardenable and martensitic steel. Thanks to its mirror polishability and good mechanical properties, it is often used as knife steel.

1.4057 is a hardenable and martensitic steel. It offers high strength and good corrosion resistance. It can be welded well and is mostly used for heavily stressed machine parts.

This material is a silicon alloyed, austenitic stainless steel which is particularly suitable for use in the high temperature range. It has good strength properties at high temperatures up to 1150° C and good corrosion resistance up to 650 °C.
