As Chief Product Officer (CPO), he is responsible for product development, aligning it with the needs of customers and strategically driving the further development of the platform.
Experience in product development and comprehensive understanding of customer needs
Lucas Giering brings a unique combination of technological understanding, product development experience and extensive knowledge of customer needs. He has been an important part of the company since its foundation and has taken on central roles: He led the interdisciplinary product team, was responsible for market and customer analyses, established agile development processes and looked after enterprise customers.
“Thanks to his extensive experience, Lucas knows the requirements of all stakeholders of the Spanflug platform and has a deep understanding of all products. He is therefore ideally prepared for his new role,” says Markus Westermeier, CEO.

Strategic vision and technical expertise
In his role as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Adrian Lewis will focus even more strongly on identifying relevant future technologies and their use for the company. He will also strategically drive forward Spanflug’s technological development in order to secure the company’s position as a technology leader in international competition in the long term. He is also responsible for the area of cybersecurity, which is becoming increasingly important.
“The position of CTO requires both strategic vision and technical expertise. Thanks to his in-depth knowledge of mathematics and scientific research as well as his practical experience in software development, Adrian has the ideal skill set for this role,” explains Westermeier.
Continuing to grow with full commitment, curiosity and innovation
CEO Markus Westermeier is responsible for Marketing, Sales, Operations and People & Organization. Spanflug has grown strongly in recent years, now employs more than 60 people, operates a manufacturing platform with over 40,000 signed up users and supplies 4,000 companies with manufactured parts.
“I am convinced that the three of us in the extended management team are ideally positioned to drive forward the growth course and internationalization with full commitment in the coming years – while maintaining the curiosity and innovative strength of our team and making it available to our customers in a targeted manner,” says Markus Westermeier confidently.
