Operational plan at the click of a mouse

New at AMB 2024: Spanflug MAKE provides machining companies with an operational plan for efficient work preparation.

Parts analysis from Spanflug enables a new approach to work preparation

Spanflug Technology is bringing a significantly expanded version of Spanflug MAKE to AMB 2024 in Stuttgart, Germany (booth EO114). In addition to times and quote prices, the software solution will now provide machine shops and contract manufacturers with detailed information about the sequence of manufacturing steps for each calculated part. This enables users to benefit from automation in the otherwise very time-consuming work preparation, and they will receive all data relevant for planning as early as in the quotation phase.

Data-driven work preparation for machine shops

The new version of the Software-as-a-Service solution Spanflug MAKE displays the automatically calculated costs and manufacturing times clearly in a new structure – the operational plan. On the one hand, this makes the calculation easier to understand, as the results can be viewed broken down by operation. On the other hand, users are supported even better in their work preparation. Typically, work preparation in contract manufacturing does not start before the customer order arrives, because the amount of work involved can be quite high. Spanflug now enables precise, automated and data-driven planning of all required manufacturing steps, machine tools and tools, stocks, as well as the times for programming, set-up and production as early as in the quotation phase. Users can easily transfer this data to the ERP system via an export function – for example, manufacturing steps including machines, tools and times are now also transferred during article creation. Alternatively, they can also have the information output in the form of an operational plan with the sequence of all manufacturing steps.

“With our completely new approach, we are initiating a change towards significantly faster and more efficient work preparation,” Dr. Markus Westermeier, CEO and co-founder of Spanflug, is convinced. “If all information that is relevant for machining, is already available automatically and in the shortest possible time during quote preparation, the calculated prices become even more reliable and transparent. In addition, our software enormously reduces the amount of work involved in the transition from quote to order processing, and supports companies in resource planning.” With the new version of Spanflug MAKE, machining companies can make many processes from calulating and quoting to work preparation more efficient, position themselves more competitively, and focus fully on their core competencies in machining.

We support your work preparation

Spanflug MAKE is your digital colleague in work preparation. Our algorithm understands parts, how they are machined and which materials and tools you need.

Further highlights at the Spanflug stand

At the AMB trade fair, the Spanflug team of experts will be demonstrating to interested visitors how they can use Spanflug MAKE individual, near-net-shape stocks, such as cast parts, can be taken into account. This helps CNC machine shops to manufacture in a resource-saving and economical manner. Especially for CNC machine shops looking for new sales opportunities, Spanflug offers the opportunity to apply directly at the trade fair stand to become a partner in the manufacturing network.

Another highlight for users from the purchasing and design departments is the new Teamwork module from Spanflug. It enables efficient, organization-wide and role-based collaboration and makes the procurement of turning and milling parts on the digital platform even more efficient.

Trade visitors and press representatives can visit Spanflug at stand EO114, directly at the East Entrance, and find out about the latest developments and solutions.
