Spanflug MAKE with new features at AMB 2026

At booth EO118, we’ll demonstrate live how CNC machine shops can use Spanflug MAKE to generate data- and AI-driven optimized operational plans, bringing more efficiency to quoting and work preparation.

Data- and AI-driven to optimized machining strategies and precise calculations

Spanflug will present new features in Spanflug MAKE at AMB (September 15–19, 2026, Messe Stuttgart). As the first quoting solution, the software combines all relevant data — parts, machines, tools, and materials — into a seamless, AI-powered workflow, thereby generating optimized operational plans for milling and turning parts. These plans form the basis for more efficient quoting and work preparation processes. Manufacturing companies can get important information as early as the quoting phase, regarding whether and how an order can be machined profitably and whether the calculated margin remains achievable during manufacturing.

Precise calculations instead of estimates

Unlike other solutions, which estimate manufacturing costs based on similarity with reference parts, Spanflug MAKE calculates them precisely. This is achieved through an algorithm that has been trained on millions of parts and validated in industrial settings, as well as through the use of real-time tool and semi-finished product data and individual machine parameters. The results are reproducible manufacturing times and costs based on machining strategies that are actually applicable and viable in practice.

New Features at AMB 2026

The version presented at AMB includes three major new features:

Tool integration with CERATIZIT

The direct integration with CERATIZIT’s ToolSelect provides access to real-world tool data. This enables the software to recommend tooling solutions for each manufacturing step, optimized either for speed, cost, or the lowest number of tool changes. Users can then order the selected tools directly through the CERATIZIT online shop.

Comprehensive, expanded database of materials and stocks

The stock database, which is fed with real-time data on prices and availability, is being expanded by data from new partner EHG, including commonly used steel alloys as well as improved stock data, such as for tubes. In addition to the more than 70 materials now available in the calculation, users will soon be able to create custom materials directly within the software.

AI-powered machine import

Existing machine tools can now be imported more quickly and easily using AI into Spanflug MAKE and used in calculations. This simplifies adjusting the calculation settings to better meet individual machining reality.

Particularly effective for high-variety manufacturing and small-batch quoting

This solution is particularly relevant for contract manufacturers handling a wide variety of parts in small to medium production runs. Spanflug MAKE delivers the greatest benefit in four scenarios: when there’s no time for in-depth manual work planning, when machine shops lack experienced quoting staff, when companies want to preserve machining and calculation expertise through generational change, or when new part requests come in without any prior reference to rely on.

Measurable economic impact

The calculation of complex milling and turning parts — a process that takes several hours to says when completed manually — is finished in minutes with Spanflug MAKE, often resulting in process cost savings of several hundred Euros per part. Overall, machine shops can reduce the time and effort required for quote preparation by up to 90%. Quotes can be send to customers on the same day, which measurably increases the success rate to win the order.

In work preparation, the digital, data-driven process can significantly reduce the effort involved in tool selection and material procurement, too. Companies can machine more efficiently, shorten their delivery times, and thereby increase customer satisfaction.

Meet Spanflug at AMB | East Entrance, booth EO118

We look forward to your visit and to connecting with you from September 15 to 19, 2026, at Messe Stuttgart, Germany. At the Spanflug booth right in the East Entrance (booth EO118), you can experience live demos of Spanflug MAKE as well as of our procurement solution, Spanflug BUY. In addition, Spanflug experts will also be presenting our quoting software at the CERATIZIT booth in Hall 3, booth 3B10.
