What distinguishes Spanflug from a conventional manufacturing company?
We use state-of-the-art technology to make the procurement process more efficient, faster and better. After uploading the CAD model (and optionally a technical drawing) via Spanflug BUY, you will receive an instant quote for your turning parts, milling parts and sheet metal parts, and can place your order online. We have your parts manufactured by our qualified partners. This gives you direct access to a network of over 6,000 CNC machines without having to manage your own suppliers.
How does the registration for Spanflug BUY work?
Spanflug BUY is free to use. To calculate instant quotes and order turning parts, milling parts and sheet metal parts online, all you have to do is sign up here. After signing up, an activation code will be sent to the e-mail address you provide. What happens with my data?
Our partners need access to the technical data in order to manufacture your parts. We guarantee the security of your data. All of our partners are bound to confidentiality by a non-disclosure agreement. We only forward your data to a small number of partners specifically selected for the order. Not all partners have access to the data. You decide whether the files remain in your account or are deleted after processing (plus waiting period). Up to a sheet size of 3,000 x 1,500 mm and, depending on the material, up to 30 mm thick. How long does it take to calculate the price?
The time required for analysis and price calculation depends on the complexity of the part. On average, the process takes less than 1 minute. The analysis takes longer for complex parts than for simple ones.
Is there a minimum order value?
Yes, the minimum order value is €250 plus VAT.
Where does Spanflug deliver to?
To all EU countries, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, United Kingdom, Iceland and Norway.
Can I also order my parts by e-mail?
We will gladly accept your orders by e-mail to order@spanflug.de. It is best to always reference an offer number. You can create a quote directly in the shopping cart at any time.
Can I change or cancel orders on short notice?
If changes to an existing order are necessary, we will be happy to check them. Please send your change request to order@spanflug.de.
Which machine shops does Spanflug work with?
Our manufacturing partners are contract manufacturing companies with different specializations in terms of part size, quantities, materials and areas of application. Manufacturing takes place exclusively in the EU. We place great importance on that our manufacturing partners employ qualified staff, contribute to the training of skilled workers, have an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system, act sustainably and invest in the modernization of their manufacturing infrastructure.
Do I get to know which company is manufacturing my parts?
Spanflug is your contractual partner and all shipments are sent to you directly from the manufacturing partner on behalf of Spanflug. All of our manufacturing partners are regularly checked for quality so that we can always provide you with the best service. For repeat orders, parts are preferably manufactured by the same partner.
Do all parts have to be uploaded individually, or is a multiple upload possible?
You can upload several CAD files and technical drawings at one time. The CAD data and drawings are automatically merged.
Do the instant quote prices for turning and milling parts depend on the delivery times?
You will receive quotes from Spanflug with your requested delivery date or with our standard delivery times. Delivery times can be reduced to a few days for an express surcharge. The express surcharge is calculated dynamically based on delivery time, lead time and price quote.
How long is the offer valid?
Quotes created with Spanflug BUY are valid for 4 weeks. This applies when you export the quote as a PDF from the shopping cart.

When you export the quote, the quote is saved in your account with the selected delivery times (e.g. in 10 working days) not with the selected date (e.g. 19.05.). You can forward the exported quote for internal processing and order it by e-mail. You can also find saved quotes in your Account under Quotes.
Prices in the shopping cart
Calculated price quotes in the shopping cart are valid for 24 hours, as the price quote is based on the fixed delivery date you selected, e.g. 19 May. After 24 hours you can update the price with one click. You can order your parts as usual via Spanflug BUY or by e-mail.
Do I choose my supplier myself?
You order from us and we take care of the rest. We select the most suitable partner who can reliably manufacture your parts. All of our manufacturing partners are regularly checked for quality so that we can always provide you with the best service.
When will I incur costs?
Instant quotes for turning parts and milling parts are free of charge. Costs are only incurred if we confirm your order.
When will I receive the order confirmation and the order acknowledgment?
You will receive the order confirmation immediately after your order has been properly received. We will send you the order confirmation by e-mail within 48 hours of receipt of your order.
What are the requirements for CAD files?
Each CAD file may contain only a single part (a contiguous solid). Assemblies can be uploaded as individual CAD files and drawings, which will then be processed and calculated automatically using the multiple upload function.
What format do CAD files and technical drawings need to be in?
Our upload processes single files, multiple files simultaneously and zip archives containing CAD and PDF data of multiple parts. CAD files can be uploaded in the following formats: *.step, *.stp, *.CATPart, *.ipt, *.jt, *.prt, *.sldprt, *.par. Technical drawings are processed in PDF format.
Which materials are available?
We supply parts in over 60 materials. You can find information on all of our materials here.
Which post-treatments are available?
Depending on the material and manufacturing process, you can choose from more than 30 post-treatment processes. You can find all of post-treatments here.
How is the payment made?
Payment is made on account only. Payment is due 14 days (net) after delivery of the parts. Framework agreements with individual payment terms can be arranged for larger order volumes or regular requirements. Please contact sales@spanflug.de for this purpose.
How do I give feedback on my order?

What are the shipping costs?
Shipping costs depend on the size and weight of the parts and the destination country. To ensure that your parts arrive undamaged, we pack your goods professionally and to a high standard. We always ship your goods with a professional logistics partner, and you can view the shipping status and tracking number at any time in the order overview.
How do I forward an instant quote to my purchasing department?
Calculate the price quotes and delivery times for your parts conveniently and automatically. You can then add them to the shopping cart. In the shopping cart, you can create a PDF quote for the parts to be procured. Your purchasing department can order the quote with reference to the quote number by e-mail to order@spanflug.de.

How do I complain about a shipment?
We grant a complaint period of 14 working days after receipt of the goods. If you have received goods that do not correspond to the information provided in your request, a complaint is justified. Please send your complaint in writing to order@spanflug.de. Upon receiving your complaint, we will review your claim and provide immediate compensation if the goods do not meet the specifications.
What about the quality control of the parts?
The quality of the parts is our top priority. Our manufacturing partners carry out internal quality controls. All parts are tested for individual parts and small series. For more than 100 parts, at least 10% of the parts are inspected. As standard, your parts are cleaned after manufacturing and delivered to you clean and dry, free of chips. Parts made of steel are preserved to prevent corrosion. In addition, you can request a measurement report, the premium quality inspection and a material acceptance test certificate in accordance with DIN EN-10204. How do you ensure the quality of the machining companies?
Each company is carefully selected and audited before being accepted into our supplier network. Spanflug’s manufacturing partners must be ISO 9001:2015 certified, or operate in accordance with the quality standards defined therein.
